Clouds on a Cloudless Night

On a relatively cloudless night on the southern side of Canberra, the Large Magellanic Cloud and Small Magellanic Cloud were prominent in the night sky. With the double star Canopus also clearly visible, these celestial features were features in the south.

While the Milky Was brilliant in the Western Sky, I have really come to enjoy capturing images of the Magellanic Clouds after having been introduced to them by Ari Rex during a photo workshop. As we come to the end of the Milky Way Core Season, it is a great time to focus on capturing images of other parts of the night sky that aren’t part of the MW.
